Paver Clean, Sand, and Seal

There are usually a few essential procedures involved in paver restoration, including as washing, sanding, and sealing. Here is a quick summary of each step:

Cleaning: The first step in recovering pavers is to properly clean them to remove any dirt, debris, or stains. The pavers can be cleaned with a power washer, stiff-bristled brush, and cleaning solution. Make sure to get rid of any moss and weeds that are growing between the stones. When pressure washing you soak with algaecide to kill off as many organics as you can then you surface clean the whole surface. Once that is done you take a rotary nozzle to scoop up all the mess between the pavers in the joints.

Sanding: You might discover that some of the pavers are uneven or have moved over time after washing them. Sand can be used to level out the pavers and fill in any gaps between them to address this. Sand should be spread over the pavers and swept with a broom into the spaces between them. The sand should next be blown down with a blower to 1/8 inch below the top of the paver, so it can properly dry out. Apply Pressure uses a polymeric sand that hardens after lightly misting

Sealing: To prevent further damage, pavers must be sealed after restoration. There are numerous sealants available, including water-based, solvent-based, and acrylic sealants. Select a sealer that is suitable for the kind of pavers you have and apply it according to the manufacturer’s directions. The sealer will make your pavers easier to clean in the future and help stop stains, fading, and other sorts of damage. Apply Pressure uses a water based, commercial grade, penetrating sealer that lasts 2 to 5 years. It also enhances the color of your pavers and provides a nice wet look.

Overall, washing, sanding, and sealing pavers to restore them is a fairly simple operation, albeit it can take some time and exertion. But, with the appropriate equipment and supplies, you can revive your pavers and give your outdoor area a crisp, tidy appearance.
